Koodugal Project Enters Government Schools

We are delighted to share the series of significant milestones in Koodugal’s journey towards environmental stewardship.

Our goal was clear: to extend our conservation initiative to reach government school students, thereby fostering awareness and action among the wider student community.

Through this collaborative effort, we were able to:
• Conduct engaging awareness sessions on sparrow conservation and the importance of biodiversity.
• Provide hands-on nest box fabrication workshops, enabling students to actively participate in habitat restoration.
• Deliver nest boxes for installation in and around school campuses to encourage the return of sparrows.
• Inspire eco-conscious behaviour and reconnect children with nature through experiential learning.
This pilot implementation marks a transformational step in our conservation mission, proving that institutional collaborations can create a lasting impact. The enthusiasm and curiosity shown by the government school students have reaffirmed our belief that environmental education must be inclusive and accessible to all.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Tamil Nadu School Education Department for their trust and support, and to the teachers and staff of the participating schools for their active involvement.

  • Purpose: To provide students with hands-on experience in corporate relationship management, budget preparation, project proposal creation, leadership development, and project presentation skills.
  • Duration: Flexible based on student availability | Provided day basis as well hour basis
  • Eligibility: Any UG/PG degree relevant to the Environmental and Mechanical studies
  • Requirements:
    1. Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
    2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    4. Excellent research and analytical skills
    5. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
    6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
    7. Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 weeks of internship

    5. Passion for environmental sustainability and social responsibility

    We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic intern to join our team at Koodugal! As a key member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, including video coverage of student locations where sparrows have occupied the nest boxes, short film creation, social media management, and content creation.
  • Requirements
    1. Strong passion for storytelling and content creation
    2. Excellent video production and editing skills
    3. Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools
    4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Eligibility: Open to students pursuing any UG/PG degree relevant to Environmental Conservation.
  • Intern Summary:
    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate intern to join our team in conserving sparrow populations through awareness and education. The successful candidate will work closely with schools, experts, and volunteers to execute awareness programs, conduct training sessions, and monitor the project’s impact.
  • Requirements:
    1. Passion for environmental conservation and education
    2. Moderate communication and interpersonal skills
    3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
    4. Strong administrative and time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Permission and Partnerships: Secure permission from schools to conduct awareness programs and establish partnerships with school administrators.
  2. Program Execution: Conduct awareness programs and hands-on training sessions for students within school premises.
  3. Expert Collaboration: Learn from field experts from Koodugal members to enhance knowledge about sparrow conservation.
