Description:

When Koodugal decided to expand its conservation efforts across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Mr Poongundran was entrusted with the responsibility of initiating projects in the Puducherry region. For the Sparrow Conservation Project, he felt it would be meaningful to begin with Gandhi Higher Secondary School, Tiruchitrambalam, the school where my father, Mr Udayanan D – Ret Deputy Chief Engineer, NLCL, completed his higher secondary studies in the 1970s.
With this thought, Mr Poongundran approached the Headmaster, Mr Balamouraly, and shared our vision. He was enthusiastic about the initiative and readily agreed to host the program. On 9th September 2025, we successfully conducted the Sparrow Conservation Program at the school, making it a special and memorable start to our work in the region.

Objective

–> Stressed the importance of Birds to students
–> Sparrows’ role in the Food Chain
–> By preserving Sparrow, we can improve the living standard
–> Also, the importance of Organic farming was explained by the guest
–> Hands–on training was given to students

Internship Program 5 |
Corporate Relationship management

  • Purpose: To provide students with hands-on experience in corporate relationship management, budget preparation, project proposal creation, leadership development, and project presentation skills.
  • Duration: Flexible based on student availability | Provided day basis as well hour basis
  • Eligibility: Any UG/PG degree relevant to the Environmental and Mechanical studies
  • Requirements:
    1. Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
    2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    4. Excellent research and analytical skills
    5. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
    6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
    7. Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 weeks of internship

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and stakeholders

    We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic intern to join our team at Koodugal! As a key member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, including video coverage of student locations where sparrows have occupied the nest boxes, short film creation, social media management, and content creation.
  • Requirements
    1. Strong passion for storytelling and content creation
    2. Excellent video production and editing skills

  • Eligibility: Open to students pursuing any UG/PG degree relevant to Environmental Conservation.
  • Intern Summary:
    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate intern to join our team in conserving sparrow populations through awareness and education. The successful candidate will work closely with schools, experts, and volunteers to execute awareness programs, conduct training sessions, and monitor the project’s impact.
  • Requirements:
    1. Passion for environmental conservation and education
    2. Moderate communication and interpersonal skills
    3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
    4. Strong administrative and time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Permission and Partnerships: Secure permission from schools to conduct awareness programs and establish partnerships with school administrators.
  2. Program Execution: Conduct awareness programs and hands-on training sessions for students within school premises.
  3. Expert Collaboration: Learn from field experts from Koodugal members to enhance knowledge about sparrow conservation.
