Description

To continue Koodugal’s journey in Pondicherry, we reached Alankuppam Government Higher Secondary School for the second leg of the Sparrow Conservation Project. This school holds a special place in my heart, as it is where my father studied during his 6th, 7th, and 8th standards. 🌱🐦

We were fortunate to receive the wholehearted support of Mrs Asharani, Vice Principal, whose enthusiasm gave great momentum to the initiative. The event was beautifully coordinated by Art Master Mr Kandaswamy, whose efforts from start to finish were truly extraordinary. Special thanks are also due to Headmaster Mr. Subramani, whose pivotal role in organising the program ensured its smooth execution.

This program was even more meaningful as we attended as a family – myself (Joint Secretary, Koodugal Trust), Poongundran, my father, and my sister. The school warmly appreciated that we were volunteering together as a family, and it gave them immense happiness. A touching moment was when my father was specially honoured with a shalvai, a gesture of deep respect that made the occasion unforgettable for all of us. 🙏✨

Objective

–> Stressed the importance of Birds to students
–> Sparrows’ role in the Food Chain
–> By preserving Sparrow, we can improve the living standard
–> Also, the importance of Organic farming was explained by the guest
–> Hands–on training was given to students

Corporate Relationship management

  • Purpose: To provide students with hands-on experience in corporate relationship management, budget preparation, project proposal creation, leadership development, and project presentation skills.
  • Duration: Flexible based on student availability | Provided day basis as well hour basis
  • Eligibility: Any UG/PG degree relevant to the Environmental and Mechanical studies
  • Requirements:
    1. Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
    2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    4. Excellent research and analytical skills
    5. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
    6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
    7. Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 weeks of internship

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and stakeholders

    5. Passion for environmental sustainability and social responsibility

    We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic intern to join our team at Koodugal! As a key member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, including video coverage of student locations where sparrows have occupied the nest boxes, short film creation, social media management, and content creation.
  • Requirements
    1. Strong passion for storytelling and content creation
    2. Excellent video production and editing skills
    3. Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools
    4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Eligibility: Open to students pursuing any UG/PG degree relevant to Environmental Conservation.
  • Intern Summary:
    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate intern to join our team in conserving sparrow populations through awareness and education. The successful candidate will work closely with schools, experts, and volunteers to execute awareness programs, conduct training sessions, and monitor the project’s impact.
  • Requirements:
    1. Passion for environmental conservation and education
    2. Moderate communication and interpersonal skills
    3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
    4. Strong administrative and time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Permission and Partnerships: Secure permission from schools to conduct awareness programs and establish partnerships with school administrators.
  2. Program Execution: Conduct awareness programs and hands-on training sessions for students within school premises.
  3. Expert Collaboration: Learn from field experts from Koodugal members to enhance knowledge about sparrow conservation.
