Description

A Small Story of Koodugal Trust between School4Change Some collaborations begin quietly but grow into something truly meaningful. My association with Harigaran Rajmohan began at my previous workplace, where a simple professional interaction gradually turned into a strong friendship. Through our conversations, I learned about his inspiring initiative School4Change, a night school dedicated to rebuilding character, confidence, and values among students from seashore communities. His teaching methodology is refreshingly different from the conventional state education system, focusing on life skills, discipline, and purpose. Interestingly, even before meeting Harigaran Rajmohan in person, I had the opportunity to interact with two of his students, Ahamed M and Mohamed Hanif. Their clarity, maturity, and perspective left a strong impression. Later, it was Mohamed Hanif who took the initiative to reconnect us, leading to a meaningful meeting where we shared our journeys, ideas, and aspirations. That meeting became the foundation for the Sparrow Conservation Project. On 07.02.2026, we successfully conducted a Sparrow Awareness & DIY Workshop on making sparrow nest boxes. The students and parents actively participated, built nest boxes themselves, and took them home with pride and responsibility. The energy, curiosity, and involvement from everyone made the session truly special. The collaboration between Koodugal Trust and the School4Change team was a mesmerizing experience. Awards and certificates were distributed to students who excelled in both academics and extracurricular activities, reinforcing the importance of holistic development. We spent three valuable hours completely immersed without any distractions, without deadlines just learning, sharing, and creating impact. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Harigaran Rajmohan, Mohamed Hanif, his students, and all the participants for making this initiative memorable and meaningful.
